Visiting a friend’s property for his birthday, I went for a quiet walk in the forest and was enchanted by the subtle light and the feathery shapes of the tree-ferns. The colour and movement of Crimson Rosellas flying through the forest is a quintessential image of Australian temperate forest and lent a pinpoint of brightness to tie the composition together.

What is a Giclee Print?

The picture has been printed using a giclée process with Epson pigment inks on Breathing Color Lyve Canvas: an archival certified, premium, heavy (450gsm) matte canvas. The print has also been finished with a Hahnemühle protective coating, which seals the surface and protects it from dust and fingerprints, increases moisture resistance and helps to protect from fading caused by UV rays. Tests show that this combination of materials produces long life prints, but as with all prints, exposure to direct sunlight may eventually affect the print.
