Magpies are one of Australia’s favourite birds. Neat and trim, with a delightful rollicking, melodious song, they exhibit enormous character. They can be aggressive and malevolent or tame, cheeky and charming.

Each spring their babies leave the nest, soft and fluffy, seemingly helpless and with a vulnerability that denies the worthy warriors they will become.
